Dillon signs on with Premiers for 2017

Sutherland Shire local junior Kurt Dillon has signed on with Cronulla Sharks for the 2017 season.

Dillon who spent time with the Newtown Jets over the past 3 seasons has been training with the current NRL Premiers since November last year and has impressed with his attitude and effort at the next level.

Noted for his heavy handed approach to the game, Dillon has turned heads at training with his competitiveness and elite cardio levels for a player not accustomed to the levels of conditioning required in the fulltime environment.
Whilst he still has a fair way to go, this is an exciting step for the 191cm and 106kg greenskeeper as he now steps away from cutting and manicuring the grass at Shark Park to continue running, tackling and wrestling on it, to the next level of the sport.
When we spoke with Kurt he was obviously happy with the progress and is looking forward to maintaining the increased education that comes with the NRL surroundings. "It is a great opportunity to be joining the club as such an important time in their history. The boys had a tremendous 2016 and will be doing everything in their power to be the first team to go back to back with an NRL premiership. I am just stoked to be involved, and being exposed to this level will hopefully be the catalyst for me taking the next step with my footy."

Everyone at MapSports wishes Kurt the best for 2017.
