Dole signs with Falcons/Storm

MapSports Daniel Dole has signed with the Sunshine Coast Falcons for the 2019 season. Dole who won Players Player of the year with Wentworthville Magpies in the NSW ISP competition in 2018 has decided to accept the opportunity with the Falcons whcih carries an NRL preseason with perrrenial powerhouse Melbourne Storm. Dole who was the Canberra Raiders Coaches Award winner in 2016 has spent the past 18 months battling the rehabilitation of a reconstructed wrist, found his feet in 2018 and gained some momentum after beggining the season in the Sydney Sheild competition and working his way up through the Ron Massey Cup and subsequently the Intrust Super Premiership. Putting his Players Player Award into perspective, Dole only made 12 appearances to win the award.

Commenting on the fresh start Dole said, "The opportunity to head to QLD has been there since 20's finished, with a number of teams making strong offers to join them over the years. I guess I wasn't ready at that stage and I now have a different outlook on the game and I have been preparing for the preseason with the Strom and whilst the unkown can be daunting, I think I know what is coming, ha ha."

When discussign the signing with the football staff, they made a point of outlining the strengths that Daniel possesses and are excited about what version of Daniel will return from the Storm preseason, "He is an instinctive hitter, who goes about his work on the field with a level of intimidation, which we value highly. He obviously has some work to do in some areas, but that's what this process is about. Putting time and effort into people who want to put the time and effort into their game. We are excited about Daniel being part of the system and seeing what 2019 brings.

Everyone at MapSports wishes Daniel the best.
