NSW Country quartet sign with Rabbitohs

MapSports Luke Bain (Bathurst)(signed 2020), Tallis Angianga (Wyong)(signed 2020), Ben Lovett (Parkes)(signed 2021) and Zane Bijorac (Queanbeyan)(signed 2021) have all agreed to terms with the South Sydney Rabbitohs. The star quartet have all come into the frame for the Rabbitohs with strong perfromances in the 2018 season.

Tallis Angianga who played for the Central Coast Roosters in the SG Ball competition this year, was rewarded for his outstanding form with selection in the NSW 18's team in 2018.

Luke Bain captained the Western Rams 18's in the newly formed Laurie Daley Cup and was selected in the NSW Country 18's team that played against a touring Papua New Guinea and Gold Coast Titans Development Squad.

Zane Bijorac who hails from the Monaro area of NSW was also rewarded for an outstanding season with selection in the NSW Country 18's team. This followed after a stint through the middle of the 2018 season where he travelled, as a 17 year old, to Europe to represent his Nation (heritage) of Serbia in the European U1`9's Championships, where again he excelled throughout the tournament, resulting in selection in the U19's Team of the Tournament.

Ben Lovett also enjoyed a terrific 2018 where he perfromed well through the Western Rams program and then travelled down to an invitational only trial in August for the Rabbitohs against the Bulldogs at Belmore where he showed his class and work ethic in a dominant performance, leading to the club signing him for 3 seasons.

Speaking with the Rabbitohs coaching staff they said, "Bain and Angianga are at the front in a lot of the training and as we had a gap year in the 18's in 2018 there is real opportunities for these boys to get a start in the Jersey Flegg in 2019 straight away. Both those boys are training how they play and it is showing in the gains they are making.

The two younger boys are doing quite well also, Bijorac has relocated as school has finished and after getting settled is beginning to make some real gains. As Lovett is doing his Year 12 he has come down to do the preseason and we will evalutae where his is once the trials are finished.
