Toby Rumble has agreed to terms with the St George Illawarra Dragons until the end of 2028.
Rumble who has excelled on the wing in both NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg has crossed for 26 tries so far in 2026 and will be looking to add to that total as the table topping Jersey Flegg Dragons head to the Finals.
When discussing the opportunity Rumble was open about the prospect of joining the NRL Squad immediately and looked forward to the additional requirements that come with NRL football, “Its something I have been hopeful of doing over the past couple of months. It’s been a whirlwind type of season but its good to know that the club see me in that light, as someone who could progress off the back of some additional training. I am very clear about the nature of footy as both my elder brothers played in Sydney, (Ben is still playing QCup with the Pride) and its safe to say more people dont make it than do”.
When discussing Rumbles extension the Dragons added; “He is talented and possesses a lot of speed and moves between tacklers very well, something we noticed that came to him fairly naturally. The challenge is adding the things that dont come naturally. He has a bit of time to do that over the next 18 months and we are sure he will make the most of it.”
We are all looking forward to a big 2027.
