Tom Jenkins Joins Knights on 2 year deal

16 November 2023

MapSports Tom Jenkins has agreed to terms with the Newcastle Knights until the end of the 2025 season.
Jenkins, who hails from the town of Boowara in the Hilltops region in south west slopes of NSW, spent 4 years at the Penrith Panthers where he made 49 appearances in NSW Cup where he crossed for 41 tries. His subsequent elevation up into the NRL Squad for his five games saw him cross the line on 5 occasions, proving his ability as a strike outside back in these competitions.

Spokesperson for the Newcastle Knights said “We had kept our eye on Tom for the entire season and signed him as soon as we had the opportunity. He is a quality footballer and we are looking forward to getting him into the Knights system and seeing him develop even further”.
Jenkins was excited about the future, “In a perfect world, everyone are one club players, but the reality of it all is that most players move on and get that chance to experience different set ups, team mates, coaches, facilities, areas etc. Newcastle has always seemed like a big country town to me and with how parochial and supportive the Knights fans are, with how the team finished in 2023, its looking like a great time to be joining the club.”
