Billy Burns has agreed to resign with the Cronulla Sharks for the next 2 seasons. Burns who hails from Parkes in NSW Far West began his career at the Penrith Panthers where he quickly rose through the ranks debuting at a 20 year old in 2019. After moving across the St George Illawarra Dragons where he put together 29 games before signing with the Cronulla Sharks in 2024. Billy enjoyed a breakout season on 2025 where he managed a career high 17 appearances as the Sharks defied the odds, defeating the Sydney Roosters & Canberra Raiders before succumbing to the Melbourne Storm in the Preliminary Final.
Burns is looking forward to the next chapter with the Sharks under the guidance of Craig Fitzgibbon and alongside his team mates in search of an NRL Premiership.
